Basic Principles (A-B-Cs) of Behaviour
 
 
Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) principles are used to increase positive behaviours (language, self help skills, academic skills) and decrease problem behaviours (tantrums, biting, kicking, etc)
 
 
Antecedent  → Behaviour  →  Consequence
 
 
Examples of the A-B-Cs of Behaviour:

Child sees juice                           Child asks for juice                        Child receives juice

Tutor asks "You sleep in a...?"      Child responds "bed"                     Child receives praise
